What is the human aura?
The human aura is an egg-shaped subtle energy field surrounding us and extending outward from our physical form some 2 – 3 feet. Auras are related to the chakras and the electromagnetic field of the body, and serve as a visual measure of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual states. The aura is generally held to consist of multiple layers, and to show one or more colors that reveal our current state.
Most people can’t see the aura directly, but we can all sense it to some degree. We often feel it as the sort of energy a person is giving off – we might be drawn to one person who feels warm and caring, but put off by another person who is giving off negative “vibes.”
